How does a sector keep truckin' when a growing number of companies who operate in it hit the skids? Consolidation, of course - through the M&A route.

This is what's happened more and more this year after a period when haulage and logistics firms were regularly in the news for all the wrong reasons. The administrators were being called in all over the place, and the sector - which boomed during the pandemic - had grown bloated and was unable to flex when faced with a shortage of skills, growing costs and, of course, Brexit.
