In the traditional Summer downturn, it certainly feels like the Northern corporate finance exodus to the Algarve has seen a big switch off.

But it seems that the public markets didn’t get the memo, with more Boohoo / Frasers drama on the horizon, as well as the ongoing Assura takeover tussle. Nice to see someone putting a shift in even though the sun is out…one can only assume these people don’t play golf (or padel!) and missed out on a few of the invites to Chester races this year!
